No words.

12 Nov

I’m a talk-er.  Seriously, I’d be willing to throw down any time with anyone who thinks they can “out-talk” me.  They can’t.

I love words and I know how to use them!

In the last week, a number of things have happened and I’m finding myself sitting here with no wordsto say.

It seems like:

~I can’t find the right words

~Certain words don’t have enough emotion to them

~I’m not even able to process my feelings enough to put them to words

~I’m too emotional to even give the situations my full attention so I jump subjects before I really delve in far enough to start putting words to it

~There isn’t anything I can say to change anything

Earth is so disappointing isn’t it? When an “oh so talkative” gal like myself is rendered speechless, it’s crippling.  Words are how I cope.  How I function.  How I move forward.

Without words, I feel helpless.

Practical Application –

Ask God for words.

That seems silly, simple, and easy right? It’s not.  I need help knowing what to think, say and do so I actually can feel in control of my emotions instead of helpless to them.

I’d be ready to throw down with you any day my sweet sister! Hahaha I doubt we would come up for air for days and days lol…Except of course in times like this when the blessing (or curse) or words fail us. I have been there, it will break in time and you’ll be back in full swing and your testimony will be all the more inspiring for this pause before you can express it! Blessings to you!

Psalm 12:6 NKJV – The words of the LORD [are] pure words, [Like] silver tried in a furnace of earth, Purified seven times.
Psalm 19:14 NKJV – Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer.
Proverbs 1:23 NKJV – Turn at my rebuke; Surely I will pour out my spirit on you; I will make my words known to you.
Isaiah 51:16 NKJV – And I have put My words in your mouth; I have covered you with the shadow of My hand, That I may plant the heavens, Lay the foundations of the earth, And say to Zion, ‘You [are] My people.’ ”
Psalm 16:9 NKJV – Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices; My flesh also will rest in hope.
Psalm 37:7 NKJV – Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.
Psalm 55:6 NKJV – So I said, “Oh, that I had wings like a dove! I would fly away and be at rest.
As you can see David was also a person of words. But there are times when we can only rest from words and wait to see what the Lord will do. For those of us who love to talk, this is difficult. Rest in Him, look to His words, let His words fill your mouth and eat them like sweet honey. They will produce His peace within you. We have His promise and He is faithful.
When we find ourselves at a ‘loss for words’ it is time to listen for His voice.
